Announcing Our $15M Raise and the Launch of Prism

I’m excited to share two major milestones for Quanta.

Today we’re announcing a $15 million Series A, led by Accel with participation from Operator Collective, Naval Ravikant, Designer Fund, Basecase, and operators including Akshay Kothari (Notion), Claire Hughes Johnson (Stripe), and Huey Lin (Affirm). This funding allows us to accelerate what we’ve been building for years: a live, explainable system of record for finance.

At the same time, we’re launching Prism — the agentic reporting layer of the Quanta Platform and the first product that brings this foundation to life.

I’ve spent my career building financial infrastructure as both a founder and software engineer, and I’ve seen the same pattern repeat again and again: companies waiting weeks to close their books, needing several days across entire teams to answer basic financial questions, relying on broken dashboards, and making decisions with incorrect numbers. We decided to change that at Quanta

We started by owning the ledger.

Quanta doesn’t sit on top of someone else’s general ledger. It is the ledger. That lets us ingest data directly from financial tools; apply policy; post entries; reconcile continuously; and build native and interactive close workbooks throughout the month instead of at its end. Automation executes the repetitive work. Our in-house accounting team works inside the same environment to review exceptions and preserve human judgment. The result is a closed loop of software and service that keeps the finances current and trustworthy.

History isn’t overwritten. Every change is event-sourced. Every number carries its lineage, as structured data — not as static spreadsheets. The result is what we call explainable finance: the system that creates the numbers becomes the system that explains them.

That idea — a financial system that can show its reasoning — is finally possible today. Advances in AI and large language models now make it possible for systems to interpret and reason over complex financial data with the precision accountants expect. For the first time, we can connect the “what happened” with the “why” in real time.

Prism makes that possible. It is the reporting layer of the Quanta Platform, a workspace where finance teams can explore their books in real time, trace any number back to its source, and see how everything fits together. It turns verified accounting data into a live view of how the business actually runs. Teams can ask questions like “What’s our margin by product?” or “How did cloud spend evolve last quarter?” and get sourced, auditable answers built from reconciled entries. It is not another analytics layer or chatbot on top of messy and fractured data; it is the same system that performs the accounting, now able to explain itself.

That is what we mean by finance in full color — when the system that runs your numbers can also explain them. Prism is live today for companies using our accounting services.

This is the beginning of something larger. Prism exists because of the foundation beneath it. Unlike tools that rely on outsourced bookkeeping or messy data, we handle our customers’ accounting end to end. Every transaction in Quanta is reconciled, verified, and understood. That clarity is what makes real-time reporting possible and what makes continuous accuracy achievable.

For decades, accounting and finance moved on different clocks. Accounting closed the books weeks after decisions were made. Finance built parallel models to understand the present while accounting caught up to the past. It created a gap between what was reported and what was true.

That gap doesn’t have to exist anymore. Advances in AI now allow accounting to move in real time, reasoning over clean data and explaining it as it changes. Finance and accounting can finally share one version of the truth. Quanta sits at that intersection: real-time, strategic, and intelligent — a system that doesn’t just track your business but understands it.

The need for that kind of system has grown immensely in the AI era. Margins are thinner, costs more volatile, and infrastructure spend shifts week to week. Companies can’t afford to make decisions on numbers that are weeks old or trapped in spreadsheets. Real-time finance isn’t a luxury in the AI era. It’s essential.

Our long-term goal is simple. Make financial data as live and dependable as any other system in a modern company. Prism is the first proof of that vision, and this Series A gives us the means to keep building toward it: expanding the platform, strengthening our accounting services, and advancing finance into an era that is continuous, transparent, and in full color.
